Pearcleaner is a free, source-available Mac app cleaner that finds an application and its associated files before uninstalling it. Instead of moving only the app bundle to the Trash, it can search for related preferences, support files, caches, and launch items so the removal can be reviewed as one operation.
Drag an app into Pearcleaner or use its Finder extension, inspect the proposed related files, and decide what should actually be deleted. It also includes broader maintenance and software-management features, but its core use is a transparent, review-first uninstall workflow.

Full Disk Access and a privileged helper may be needed for some searches and system locations. Review every proposed deletion, keep backups, and note that the project is currently on hold.
Privacy and requirements
Pearcleaner requires macOS 13 or later and publishes its source for inspection. Finding application leftovers can require Full Disk Access or administrator privileges, depending on their location. Removal decisions remain the user's responsibility: inspect associated files and use the available safeguards before deleting shared support data or material that may belong to another application.
