LocalSend is a free, open-source file-sharing app for Macs, phones, and other computers on the same local network. It transfers files and short messages directly between devices without requiring an account or external cloud storage.
Open LocalSend on both devices, choose the receiving device discovered on the network, and approve the transfer. It is particularly useful between Mac and Android or Windows, where AirDrop does not cover the whole path.
