Running transcription and language models locally requires storage, memory, and setup appropriate to the chosen models. Hosted providers are easier to configure but send the relevant audio, transcript, or prompt data to those services. Anarlog can record other people's voices, so users remain responsible for notification, consent, and compliance with the laws and policies that apply to a meeting.

Anarlog supports macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Recording and transcription require access to the microphone and system audio as appropriate. The free local workflow does not require an Anarlog account.

By default, notes, transcripts, and meeting data remain in the local database, and the app can work offline with local transcription and a local language model. Cloud transcription, hosted AI, synchronization, sharing, and the Cloud API are optional and require an account. Enabling one of those features sends the data needed for that service off the device; third-party providers connected with personal API keys apply their own privacy terms.

Anarlog's free plan includes unlimited on-device transcription, local recordings, notes, exports, and support for local models or personal API keys. Pro costs $15/month or $150/year and adds hosted transcription and AI, encrypted sync across three devices, sharing, integrations, and personal automations. Team costs $20 per person per month or $200 per person per year, while Enterprise pricing is custom.
