Palmier Pro is a local-first video editor for Mac that places AI generation and agent-assisted editing directly on a multi-track timeline. It can combine ordinary footage with generated video, images, voiceovers, music, sound effects, and upscales without requiring each asset to be prepared in a separate service.
The editor also exposes a local MCP server. Claude, Codex, Cursor, and compatible agents can inspect the active project and make timeline edits that remain visible, reviewable, and undoable inside Palmier. A repeated editing process can be saved as a Skill and applied to later videos.

It is not a lightweight utility: macOS 26 is required, AI-generated output still needs editorial review, and paid credits can be consumed quickly by high-resolution or long-duration generation. Established editors may prefer to use Palmier for generation and automation, then finish through XML export.
Privacy and requirements
Palmier requires macOS 26 Tahoe. The developer says projects, media, prompts, and edits remain on the device and are not used for model training. Optional AI generation and assistant features send the necessary prompts or reference media to external providers, whose retention practices can vary. Accounts are not required for the editor or MCP connection; paid cloud features require account and billing information. Optional diagnostics can be disabled in Settings.
Pricing
The editor, local transcription, exports, and MCP connection are free. Current promotional pricing is $29/month for Pro with 5,000 generation credits or $69/month for Max with 12,000 credits; the stated regular prices are $49 and $99 per month.
