Bike Outliner is a Mac writing app built around an editable outline. Rows can be nested, reordered, and focused so a long document remains navigable while its structure changes.
Use Bike for a project outline, meeting notes, a plan, or a draft. Expand the parts you need, collapse the rest, and move between a broad structure and a focused section without converting the work to a separate format.

Where it fits
Bike is especially useful when the order of ideas is still changing. It offers more structure than a plain text editor and less visual overhead than a mind map. The free mode remains usable for ordinary outline editing.
Privacy and requirements
Bike is a document-based Mac app; files can stay local or be placed in a sync folder chosen by the user. The current product page lists macOS 11 or later. Cloud behavior depends on the folder provider rather than a required Bike account.
Pricing
Bike is free for core reading and editing. The direct-download license is a one-time purchase with one year of updates; Mac App Store and Setapp editions use subscriptions.
