DeskMinder is a short-term reminder and task timer for Mac. It keeps a small control on the desktop or in the menu bar so an urgent follow-up, break, or temporary task can be scheduled in a few seconds without opening a calendar or building a larger task system.
A reminder can end with a full-screen alert when an ordinary notification would be too easy to miss. Task mode records the start of a piece of work, while the history provides a simple view of completed timers and reminders.

Where it fits
DeskMinder fits people who lose track of immediate intentions while working, including those who find persistent or full-screen cues more effective than a notification banner. It is intentionally quicker and more visible than entering the same item in a project manager.
That simplicity creates limits. Preset timers focus on short intervals, existing timers cannot be edited, and the app is not designed for projects, recurring schedules, dependencies, or shared work. Things 3 is a better long-term task system; Toki is a narrower keyboard-first timer.
Privacy and requirements
DeskMinder requires macOS 14 or later and is distributed through the Mac App Store. Its App Store privacy label states that the developer does not collect data. Notification access is central to the app, while optional Apple Reminders integration sends created reminders into the user's Apple data and across devices according to their iCloud configuration.
